Day 1 Arrival – Yerevan evening tour- Welcome dinner with traditional show performance ( 3 pm – 7 pm ) 

 

Depart from your country and start a nice journey to Caucasus Region. Arrive in Yerevan, the capital of   Armenia. Our representative will meet you at the airport and transfer to hotel, check – in. Free time to relax.

A variety of options await to be explored during your Yerevan city tour. The tour begins with a visit to  Mother Armenia, a statue which was constructed to replace a monumental statue of Joseph Stalin. 

Thereafter, you will head to the Cascade, a giant stairway in the capital city which links downtown Kentron area of Yerevan with the Monument neighbourhood. The stairs afford walkers unobstructed views of central Yerevan and Mount Ararat. From the Cascade, you will be heading to the Opera House. A visit to the Republic Square awaits you next. The Square is famous for the dancing water fountains located at the north-eastern end along the National Gallery. The buildings around the Square are made of rose and white Armenian tufa stones and provide a great insight into the architectural heritage of Armenia.

All in all, an enjoyable and exhilarating experience awaits you in Armenia – a highly exuberant and endearing country.

Day 2 Garni-Geghard-Lavash baking-Vernissage-Cooking classes with chef ( 100 km , 10 am – 4 pm ) 

 

Within our tour we will be in the valley of Azat river where there are many historical and natural monuments. We will go to the Pagan Temple of Garni. The Pagan Temple of Garni is the only non-Christian temple currently standing in Armenia. The architectural complex of Garni was Armenia's foremost center of Hellenistic culture and the summer residence of Armenian kings.  Drive to the unique caved temple St. Geghard (12th -13th cc.), the name of which means “holy spear” in the honor of the long-preserved spear, the same spear that pierced the body of crucified ChristAt the moment this spear is kept in the museum of Etchmiadzin.  Geghard Monastery is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list (2000). Drive back to Yerevan. Visit Yerevan Vernissage Market. 

If you are looking for some shopping during your holiday to Armenia, Vernissage (open only on week-ends) is the place to be. Hundreds of vendors selling a variety of crafts, souvenirs, woodcarving items, antiques, and wool carpets will leave you spoilt for choice.

Cooking classes at Armenian traditional restaurant with professional chef. We will take first-hand part in the process of making Armenian dolma at traditional Armenian restaurant. Traditional Armenian dolma is considered to be one of the jewels of Armenian cuisine.

Day 3 Dilijan – Haghartsin – Ijevan winery- Lake Sevan-  270 km ( 10 am – 6 pm ) 

 

You will be driven to the North-Western part of Armenia. First stop is Dilijan city.It is otherwise referred to as 'Armenian Switzerland' for its fantastic natural forests. The town is a part of Dilijan National Park, as well as a developing financial and educational center. The next stop is Haghartsin, a 10th century monastery that has been recently renovated by donation of sheikh dr. Sultan bin Mohammad al Qassimi, the ruler of Sharjah, who was impressed by the monastery when visited it. Drive to Ijevan winery. One of the leading enterprises of winemaking in Armenia is «Ijevan Wine Factory». 

Today, «Ijevan wine» produces more than 20 varieties of wines perfect. Wines «Ijevan winery» are exported to different countries of the CIS, Baltic States, Ukraine, France and the United States, in California. Wines Ijevan were awarded gold and silver medals and diplomas at international tastings.

Next, a visit Lake Sevan. It is known as a blue gem of the Armenian mountains cape. Lake Sevan is considered  to be one of the largest sweet water lakes in the world, situated at an altitudeof 1,897 meters above sea level. Climb on peninsula from where the fascinating view on the Lake is open. Visit Sevanavank monastery, built by the princess Mariam to honor the life of her deceased husband in the 9th century. Sevanavank is also home to one of the most beautiful Amenaprkich (all savior) Khachkars of Armenia. This is one of the 13 rarest cross tones depicting Jesus.

 Lunch at one of the Sevan’s restaurants, where you can taste fish from the lake and the brand kebab made of crayfish.

Day 4 Yerevan-Khor Virap-Areni Winery-Noravank Monastery ( 260 km , 10 am – 5 pm ) 

 

We begin the journey by heading to the South from Yerevan – through Ararat Province to Vayots Dzor Province – and will come closer to Ararat's piedmont near Armenian-Turkish border. As we know, the most famous symbol for Armenians – Mount Ararat isn't located on the territory of Republic of Armenia. Nonetheless, Khor Virap offers the best view to admire the mount. And here we will take our first stop. Later we shall visit Noravank meaning “New Monastery” in Armenian.The breathtaking church of the monastery is St. Astvatsatsin, a two-storied building with an open-air church.

A visit to the winery will give you the opportunity to taste 15 sorts of wine, watch a short-length film about the history of the factory, wine-making in Armenia and its historical background. Afterwards you are welcome to have a walk in the cellars of the factory.

Try the best Armenian beef kebab here, as well as goat cheese and salads typical to this region.

Day 5 Alphabet Park - Amberd -Lake Kari -Sagmosavank -Ararat Cognac Factory ( 190 km, 10 am – 4 pm ) 


This day trip takes you to explore one of the most beautiful gorges of Armenia: the Gorge of Qasakh River, famous for its beautiful churches standing on cliff edges.

On this tour you will visit Alley of Letters that was built in honor to the 1600th anniversary of the creation of Armenian alphabet. This monument is unique not only in Armenia, but all around the world. Next stop is Amberd.  Amberd fortress is simply stunning. The site is loved because it is one of the last standing remainders of Armenia's royal past. As you approach it through steel hairpin turns, you realize that you are up for an amazing sight. The fortress and the adjacent church date to the 10thcentury, the fortress was partially destroyed by Mongol invaders around year 1236. In its golden years it was a primary defense point for the ancient Armenia capital Ani. The view is mesmerizing, as you gaze down into a deep valley, you realize how powerful the nature is. 

Further we will drive to Kari Lake (Stone Lake). Lake Kari is an alpine lake in Armenia, situated on the slopes of Mount Aragats.

Mount Aragats is considered to be the highest point of the Republic of Armenia at 4090 m from sea level. The circumference of the base is about 200 km, and the mount occupies 4,000 km2 with its roaring slopes. Aragats has been one of the largest volcanoes in the world. 

Then continue trip to the Monastery of Saghmosavank (XII-XIIIcc). A wonderful view on the gorge of the Kasakh river.

Visit Ararat Cognac Factory, get acquainted with the legends of ARARAT brandies, learn the 120 years old history of Armenian brandy manufacture, know who has drunk Armenian brandy, and see the oldest Armenian barrels and the medals which decorate the ARARAT legend. Spend a lovely and unforgettable time in the tasting hall enjoying the wonderful brandy cognac.
